Today I want to say thank you for my roommate.
I have been so blessed to live with her this year. She's one of my best friends. We know each other through mutual family friends, but our first time actually hanging out was in Nicaragua (summer 2010--pictured above). A mission trip is an awesome way to get to know someone, and God definitely knew what he was doing by putting us there together. That friendship was so important last year as we went through so many of the same things. We became really close, ended up joining the same sorority, and now live together. I love how we can just sit and eat dinner and have a random, super deep conversation about Jesus or relationships or friendship. Or we can just sit around and not get any of our school work done together. Those days are the best.
Today I'm extra thankful for Jessica because she checked on me this morning to make sure I was up and going. Turns out, I wasn't...but I was supposed to be practically on my way out the door. She went into drill-sergeant mode and helped me get ready in about 10 minutes rather than my usual 40. I'm also thankful for her because she has a huge exam tomorrow, yet put down her studies to help me parallel park my car (and thus helped avoid a major emotional break down on my part. Just one of those days, ya know?). Thanks, JNap :) Love youu
