This past weekend, I drove to JMU to visit some of my best friends, and the drive there absolutely stunned me. I've made the 1-64/1-81 drive like a hundred times, but the beauty of these mountains gets me every time. And this past weekend, there was just a little bit of snow covering the trees, which were decked out in their deep reds, oranges, and yellows. It was thrillingly gorgeous.

But that's not even the best part. As I drove, I thought about Sus's post about how, "As beautiful as the earth is, and right now in Virginia it is BEEE-U-tiful, it’s not what God intended. We see the tainted, slime-covered version." Wait...this perfection that we see isn't the legitimate stuff? We're looking at creation...in its brokenness? It just blows my mind. So I praise God for all of his awesome work which screams his name-- even when it's not in perfect condition. And I praise him because he is holding the perfection of creation in his hands, ready to touch the world and restore it back to glory (which may just be too much beauty for me to handle).
