I Should be Writing a Philosophy Paper Right Now

I was just thinking for a moment on some friendships in my life and reflecting on the wars that some of my friends are in. And I realized that one of the way-cool things about being a Christian is our duty/privilege to suit up for battle alongside our brothers and sisters. When one of our family members in Christ is going through something, we can get immense joy from putting on our armor and fighting for them in prayer and also in praise. As much as we pray for someone's situation, we can also praise God for it...I think that prayer and praise belong together. It's a two-for-one deal. For example, when one of our friends has cancer, we are driven to our knees in prayer for them. But we also have to praise God for whatever the current circumstances may be-He uses these times for truly amazing work!!! Therefore, a new light can be shed on our (or at least my) opinion of prayer for others. The fight for someone's life isn't just a one-person war. The entire Christian community fights it together. And we are so blessed that that's how this lil system of ours works! We are so fortunate to have the chance to pray to God and to praise Him- as one body, together-no matter what season of life we are in.
That was just on my heart.
