Challenge for the Holidays

Well. I cannot believe it one bit, but it's officially Thanksgiving break. Honestly I have no idea where the semester has gone- it seriously seems like I moved into my apartment last week. Nevertheless, here we are, with the end of the semester staring us in the face. When I return to school, I'll have that one final push-papers, papers, exams, papers, exams-and then all of a sudden, the semester will be done. Just. Like. That. You can be expecting a blog post coming in less than a month about how I can't believe it's Christmas break. Redundant? Yes. But my brain just isn't processing how quickly time is starting to move. It's scary! Anyways, I decided yesterday to challenge myself while I'm home for the holidays. I want to be present-fully aware of what is going on in the moment...enjoying every single detail of what is happening. Aka, I want to put up my phone when I'm hanging out with my family or friends. And shut my laptop if my sister is telling me story so that I can really listen. Catherine and I watched a movie last night, and I dared myself to leave my phone all the way up in my room. I tell you, it was great. I need to work on this more in everyday life, but I figure working on it during the holidays will be a great start! You should try, too :) Be present.
