Every once in awhile, God blesses us with amazing friendships that endure through years and years...often times, these friendships begin at extremely young ages and are somehow able to thrive even through all the ups and downs of growing up. I am lucky to have several of these "life friends," but today I celebrate one of them. Anne Talbot and I met when she was 3 and I was 4. She moved into the house across the street from me, and according to my mom, it was "love at first sight." A few years later, she moved to Florida, and then to Williamsburg, but even through all of that, she has remained one of my closest friends and part of the group I call my "chosen family."
This picture was taken right before we got on the bus together on her first day of kindergarten.
Tomorrow, I get to see her walk across the stage at her high school graduation.
I am so blessed to have such an amazing life friend to have grown up with and to look towards such a fun future with. Talb, I am so proud of you and I love you so very much. Congratulations, my love!
