The Time is Finally Here...

I find myself in my room, surrounded by piles of clothes that I must somehow fit into baggies to fit into a backpack that I will live out of for the next 12 days. I'm beginning to think that the biggest miracle I will witness this trip will be me being able to fit everything into one bag (just kidding...but really...it will be tough). Anywhoo, I had a little wake up call and I figured it was blog time. Here I am, stressing over which t-shirts to take, while I am going to a place where most people are grateful just to have t-shirts to wear. I sort through my multitude of tees and figure out which ones are best to pack, while some people consider themselves blessed to have a single shirt. I don't really know if I'm prepared to face the reality I will see in a matter of hours. I mean, obviously, I can do it, but it's going to be unlike anything I've ever experienced before. I'm scared and excited and nervous and sad and happy all at once. I feel extremely prepared yet not prepared at all. But I do have peace in knowing that, while I have no idea what's going to happen on this trip, God has it planned out to the second. And He has great things in store for everyone going and everyone we will be reaching out to. I love His timing-today's sermon in church was on Romans 10, one of the key missions passages in the Bible. I feel like that was God's little nudge- like He was saying, "Okay, Caroline, I've got you covered. Your heart is ready. You have Me, and that's really all you need. Now go!" And so I'm going. Tuesday morning at 2 am I will leave Williamsburg to continue this amazing journey. I will be in Nicaragua until July 1. So please, cover this trip in prayer! Pray for safety. Pray that there is no drama. Pray that we can be more like Jesus. Pray that He shines through us and changes lives forever. Pray that we love hard. Pray that we live out the Good News. Pray that we, as said in the Great Commission, can contribute to the effort of making disciples of all nations.
I will update when I get back!
